Getting this up late today. Story to follow, but first….

H is for Hydra!

It’s not my strongest entry. Not at all. I was having a really hard time deciding on my H creature. I actually have three other drawings I started before I even got this far. I decided on hydra late last night while just sitting around and talking in World or Warcraft with some friends. I got a little sketch done and called it a night.

My wife stayed home from work because she has been sick for about a week. She was dealing with horrible abdominal pains and wasn’t even able to really get any sleep. This morning we tried to get her a doctors appointment, but that hasn’t played out yet. Around noon I just said let’s go to the ER, which we did and everything else got put on hold.
They ran tests and did their song and dance while we sat there for a good portion of the afternoon, her in pain the whole time. I was getting nervous as I have a tendency to freak out about these sorts of things. Cutting to the point here, turned out she has an issue with her gall bladder and it needs to be removed. So it was a relief that it wasn’t something far worse. Though, she still has to deal with it because of where we live. Turns out there is only one surgeon in town and he is OUT of town for two weeks. The good news is she is fine! She just might have more discomfort for a bit.

They gave her prescriptions and a mean, bad ass kinda shot (she has been out for a couple hours now) so things are ok.
I am posting this now to lead into the fact that I am going to open up commissioned drawings of 11×14 at a rate of $50.00 as a way to help offset some of the costs we have coming up.
